Corona DamageCorona discharge is a luminous partial discharge from conductors and insulators due to ionization of the air, where the electrical field exceeds a critical value.
UV TechnologyProcesses involved with corona phenomena emit ultra violet (UV) light. While the conventional UV sensors and filters are blinded by normal daylight and cannot provide the required levels of sunlight blocking, Ofil's solar blind filters, based on the company's intellectual property (IP), enable absolute detection of weak UV signals in full daylight with high signal-to-background ratio and only negligible background noise. Ofil's cameras overlay the images from their visible light and UV sensors to produce live video images that allow the presence and location of corona to be easily seen. The severity of corona can be quantified and trended with time with the unique Corona Rate Counting algorithm. DayCor ® Family of CamerasOfil's most popular camera is the hand-held Superb. The Superb can also be mounted in various vehicle platforms.
UVollé Family
The UVollé-Vi records both video and photographs while the UVollé-S records photographs only. |
